Olive comes to us through a partnership with The Immigrant Story. The Holocaust may have taken place in the 1940s, but stories of those attempting to escape genocide and tragedy are still happening in our modern day. Olive Bukuru shares her journey from fleeing genocide in Makamba, living in a refugee camp, and her experience as a teen living in Beaverton and Hillsboro after her family emigrated to the United States.
